Why Seminole County Shoreline Algae Keeps Coming Back (And How to Break the Cycle)

  • Nutrients. Lawn fertilizer runoff, grass clippings, decaying leaves, whatever washes off the yards uphill. That's food. And there's always more coming.

Here's the part folks miss. You can scrub all day, but scrubbing only removes what's already grown. It does nothing about the conditions. So the water goes still again, warms up again, and the algae comes right back because you never took away the thing that lets it thrive: stagnation.
